This picture shows a simple circuit with light. The circuit consists of a power source (a battery), two conducting wires and a small lamp. When the connections are made completely, the circuit will close and the current will flow through the circuit and light the lamp. If one of the wires is removed from the power source or there is a break in any part of the flow, the circuit is open, and the lamp will no longer light.
