孩子是因你而来
不是为你而来

他是属于全社会的
这首我多年前改编的小诗是我在家长课堂上讲到如何对孩子“放手”时念给大家听的，短短的六句话其中所蕴含的意义却很深邃，这是家庭教育的“道”，当你真正体会到其中的涵义时，你会发现其中“爱”、“放手”、“分清责任”、“信任”、“尊重”、“正向信念”都包含其中。
为什么这么多孩子出现各种不同的问题呢？其实是因为家长们把孩子当成了自己的私有财产，从内心中没有把孩子当成一个独立的个体，家长们想尽一切办法，让孩子按照家长的意志、家长的目标努力上进，这是多么大的不尊重呢？所以我常常用一句“危言耸听”的话来警醒家长“很多家长根本不爱孩子，他们爱的是自己，因为他们想让孩子做到的事情都是自己内心想要的”，这就是打着爱的名义实现自己的目标，这哪是爱，这分明是交换。
今天想到这首小诗作为博客内容，是因为我的朋友给我发了一首英文诗，还配有中文翻译，其中的意思和上面这首小诗的意思很接近，大家读一读，体会体会吧。
On Children

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
