四种常见语调 (intonation)
▍学习英文语调的两个原则
► 生搬硬套不可取，语调要和意思相匹配。
英语有比较明显的抑扬顿挫，但是每个声调的区别不明显。
【举例】
Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat.

► 英语语调，宁可平，不要怪。
英文中语调表意，语调怪，容易产生歧义。
▍英文中四种常见的语调
平调、升调、降升调、降调。（基本对应中文声调的四声）
1. 平调
► 相当于中文声调一声（在英语中使用最频繁，占80%以上）
► 作用
发音时不费劲，提高沟通效率。

2. 升调
► 相当于中文声调二声
► 作用
日常生活中：表疑问、反问
朗读中：停顿、换气

► 美国人的说话习惯
- 喜欢用上扬式语调

OMG，you know what↑, her ex-boyfriend is so nice↑, polite↑, well-educated↑, considerate↑, I can go on and on but he’s just too good to be true and it turns out that he’s in love with a guy.
- 山谷女孩儿口音 (valley girl accent)
说话几乎全是升调。
3. 降升调
► 先降再升，相当于中文声调第三声。如 “马”
► 作用
用于换气，可以替代升调，后接降调。

4. 降调
► 相当于中文声调四声，如 “骂”。
► 作用
表示话说完了，句子结束了，一般用在句尾。
表意：命令、强调。

► 建议
我们在念句子时，尽量不要用降调，会产生很强的顿挫感，并且听起来不礼貌。
总的来说：
1. 英语的语调没有固定公式，语调的练习，没有捷径。我们需要通过大量的观察和模仿，去形成自己的说话风格。
推荐方法：找到一种你喜欢的发音，去尽量模仿。
2. 不要过度追求所谓完美的语音语调。我们学英语的目的，是为了与别人顺畅的沟通。
