Colin Morgan on playing a nerd in "Good Omens"

Newt is a little bit of a nerd, I should say. He grew up, you know, obsessed with electronics and everything to do with that, doing his own little airplanes, doing his own little experimentations, and that’s something he’s very much into, and has always been into. However, he is not very good at it. So he finds himself, I guess at a point in his life where he needs to change. And he sees an advert in the paper advertising for a witchfinder position, and I think that strikes him as being something exciting, something outside his realm, something outside of the norm that he’s been stuck inside. And so he makes the call and goes on the adventure. […] I’ve actually been a big fan of Terry Pratchett from, kind of when I was in my, sort of, early teens, kind of like fourteen, fifteen, I started reading a lot of his books. […] Neil Gaiman I got introduced to a little bit later, but kinda through Terry Pratchett, actually, so reading his books, I think the novels themselves that they’ve written are a pleasure to read, personally, and to get the chance to perform them is an absolute honour and a privilege professionally.
