No，no，no，用“rain cats and dogs”表示“下倾盆大雨”，跟一个古老的西方神话有关。据说猫和狗都是暴风神和骤雨神的仆从，紧随这两位神仙左右，所以它们的出现肯定会带来滂沱大雨。
那么“雨下得很大，我被淋成了落汤鸡”，这句话用英文怎么说？前文已经提到五种表达“雨下得很大”的说法，任选一种即可，剩下的就是“落汤鸡”怎么说了？“落汤鸡”=“a drenched chicken”？其实所谓的“落汤鸡”是中文里的说法，意为落水或浑身湿透的鸡，用来形容一个人浑身湿透了。在英文中，直接用“I am soaked or I am drenched”，也就是“我湿透了”就可以了。
所以，“雨下得很大，我被淋成了落汤鸡”(请翻译）
