It’s+the /one’s+序数词+time to do 某人第几次做某事
It’s +the /one’s+序数词+time that+完成时

It’s time +that从句，表示“现在某人该做某事了”，含有该事早该去做而未做，现在去做似乎都为时已晚的意思
It is (high/about)time+ (that)+过去式动词/were（be动词一律用were）
It is (high)time+ (that)+(should)+动词原形
相当于：
It is (high)time+ (that)+（for...）to do
栗子:
It’s time that actions were taken.
It is (high , about) time (that) I went now.
It is (high , about) time (that) i should go now.
It is (high , about) time (that) I go now.
It is (high , about) time for me to go.
注：That可省略，time 由high, about 修饰，从句中的谓语动词有两种形式，或者用动词的过去式（be用were）;或者用should+动词原形（should不能省）

3.Over and above高出一般，超越标准

What he did went over and above his duty.他所做的超出了他的职责所在。
4.Drive sb over the edge: drive sb crazy
Over the edge.超越悬崖的边，在这里引申为超越理智
He is always late for dates/appointmens. It drives me over the edge.
He is always late for school. It drives his teacher over the edge.
5.make the cut达到标准
应聘工作达到标准，被录取，比赛晋级，都可以称为make the cut相反为miss the cut.
