elbow肘
Once in a while you sit with your head in your hands and both eblows on the table, don't you? You may use your eblows again when you want to go through a big crowd. Then you have to elbow your way through it.
The word also refers to the part of the sleeve of a coat which covers the elbow. A poor man usually wears old raggedy clothes, and in both eblows of the sleeves,you may even see holes. So,to describe a poor man wearing shabby clothes, you can say that he looks out at elbows.
