Belt 腰带
A belt is worn around the waist. In boxing it is a foul to hit below the belt intentionally. So “hitting below the belt” is often used figuratively. It means “attack in an unfair or cowardly way”. For example, it is generally regarded as hitting below the belt if a person makes fun of his rival‘s deformity.
Both drivers and passengers in moving cars should wear seat belts for seats safety. When a plane begins to take off or land, its passengers should fasten their seat belts, too.
Not many people like to wear green belts. But all people like their towns or cities surrounded with green belts—areas of land where grass and trees must not be replaced by buildings.
