The wallet is used by men； the purse by women. Yet，strangely, it is “purse”，not “wallet”， that is often connected with “money”. For example, you can say @make up a purse for the flood victims”； You cannot use “wallet ”instead.

男士使用钱夹子wallet，女士使用小钱包purse，不过奇怪的是经常与钱联系的是purse，而不是wallet。例如你可以说，make up a purse for the flood victims，为水灾难民捐款，你却不能用wallet一词来代替。
