Comb 梳子 Our hair needs combing from time to time. You comb your hair before you go to school, don't you? If your mother finds your hair rumpled when you leave for school, she will most probably say ，“there is no hurry. Your hair needs a good comb.” There are fine tooth combs and wide-tooth combs. It is interesting that “a fine-tooth comb”can be used as a phrase meaning great care. You can see this in the following example：“ The police searched the forest with a fine-tooth comb for lost child .”Used as a verb，the word“comb”itself can convey the idea of searching carefully.
