Swan 天鹅
The swan swims and flies gracefully though it is one of the largest birds. Its beauty has inspired many poets, painters and composers. One of the most famous ballets is named “swan lake”.
One Legend has it that the swan sings beautifully just before it dies. It is just a Legend, not a fact. But because of the Legend we have the idiom “swan song”. It means somebody's last work or performance. The famous star Bruce lee or lee Siu Lung， as the Chinese call him, starred in the film“Enter the dragon”In 1973. It turned out to be the swan song. He died in 1974 while making a new film.
虽然天鹅是一种巨鸟，但它游起来、飞起来都很优美。她的美丽给许多诗人画家和作曲家带来灵感。最著名的芭蕾舞之一就叫做“天鹅湖”。
传奇上说，天鹅临死前的歌声美极了，这只是个传说而已，并不是事实。不过据此传说却有了swan song（绝唱）的成语。它指的是某人的最后作品或最后演出。著名影星Bruce lee，中国人称它为李小龙1973年担当主演“龙争虎斗”，这竟成了他的绝唱，他于1974年去世时，那时他正在拍一部新片。
