Tips for learning English💬

I was born and raised in a very traditional Chinese family. So, the main male figure in our family, which is my father, he makes the decision for most of the people including me, you know, obviously. 我土生土长在一个特别传统的中国家庭里。我们家主要的男性形象，也就是我爸，他替大多数人做决定，很显然也包括我，你懂的。 My dad was like, you know what, I’m gonna send you to America to study, so I didn’t really have a choice. I was just sent out. And I want to say thank you Dad for making that decision for me. 我爸当时是这样的，你猜怎么着，我要送你去美国学习。所以我其实没什么可以选择的。我就被送出去了。然后我想说，谢谢你，老爸，替我做了这个决定。 One of my takeaway or one of my learning experiences is that you have to really pay attention to what people are saying, you have to really pay attention to people who are pronouncing things correctly. 我的心得或者学习经历之一是，你必须真正去注意听别人在说什么，你必须真正去留意那些发音正确的人。 One method I've used was to, I'm still using it today, is to record yourself. So grab your phone, turn on the recorder, open it up and find a book, find a news article, and just read. It is really difficult. It's hard, but you know what, it's a challenge and we’ll overcome it. It'll be fine. 我原来用过的一个方法，我现在依然在用，就是给自己录音。所以去拿你的手机吧，把录音机功能打开，打开一本书，找篇新闻报导，然后就去朗读。这很不容易，很艰难，但是你知道吗，这就是个挑战，我们会克服它的。一切都会好的。
