1. My husband and I made the decision to leave after being consistently without power since Monday and the low temperatures, at least low for Texas and definitely low for a Florida girl like me. Still freezing cold there, and then we woke up yesterday morning to little, to virtually no running water. We made the decision to go ahead and leave.
2. We actually were in a store yesterday morning and we saw the workers getting rid of the foodthat was in there, freezer section and refrigeration section. And I will say this, in the time of crisis, people do come together and show their best selves. And so we were definitely seeing that.
3. And people were being really friendly, very helpful and just patient. So I was really grateful to see that we, as the human race, were being really kind and helpful with each other and showing our best selves in this time of crisis.
