1. I still think the most clever, mostoriginal, most innovative ideas still come from the United States, but partnerships with China are growing for good reasons. And theChinese are beginning to take the discovery and the innovation very seriously. 2. They are trying to change their educational system, the way they teach engineers in graduate school; trying to revise it and bringback a lot of American scientists, engineers, or from Europe who areChinese but you know spent sometime in the United States or Europe; and bring them back when they're still young so they can train a new generation of graduate students. 3. The training of the new generation to be really creative is something you don't find in textbooks. And so China is makingthe right moves there.
