Today I'm going to talk about being "ripped off". That's spelled "r-i-p-p-e-d o-f-f". To be "ripped off" is to be cheated out of time, or money, or something else that is valuable, or to pay too much for something.For example, I could say,
I bought this iPhone 6 plus from a guy on the Internet, but it turned out to be fake. I totally got ripped off.
Or,
She bought this LV bag in the store, then found it on Amazon for 800 dollars cheaper. She felt pretty ripped off and got mad at it .
