Foxcatcher premiers at Cannes
Bennett Miller's "Foxcatcher" has premiered at the Cannes film festival.
(Foxcatcher)
The film tells the true life story of the murder of a wrestling champion in 1996 by the heir to the prominent DuPont family in the US.
Bennett Miller, who directed "Moneyball," makes a return to the world of sport with the story of two champion wrestlers and their wealthy sponsor who eventually murders of one of the athletes.
The "Foxcatcher" stars Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, as well as a completely unrecognizable Steve Carell as John DuPont.
The comedian-turned-actor says despite the transformation, it was no different than any other role he's played.
"I don't think characters in films know that they're in a comedy or a drama, I think they're just characters in films so I think the same applied to that side, I don't think, I didn't approach it as drama necessarily, it was just a story and a character within that story."
Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo have walked the red carpet at Cannes with Bennett Miller for the premiere.
Early reviews have singled out "Foxcatcher as the main awards-season heavyweight to emerge from this year's festival.

That is why I am so happy that we get this message across to the world together."
Wurst has already met Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann this past weekend.
Wurst, whose birth name is Tom Neuwirth, swept to victory with the ballad "Rise Like a Phoenix" before a global TV audience in Copenhagen.
