32nd Harbin Music Festival starts today The 32nd Harbin Summer Music Festival kicks off today. Hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Harbin's City Government, the event includes chamber concerts, national music competitions, symphonies and outdoor performances. During the festival, renowned orchestras such as the British Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, plus notable musicians and performers from across the globe will showcase the unique culture of Harbin, at various venues, including music halls and public squares. Chinese original musical "Jane Eyre" directed by Wang Xiaoying and performed by the Hangzhou Theatre troupe will be staged at Harbin's Huanqiu Theatre for two nights. Thousands of people from all over the world are expected to attend the festival, which runs until the 15th August. Ghibli Studio do 'NOT' plan on stopping production Japanese animated film-maker Ghibli Studio, whose hits include Oscar winner "Spirited Away" has said they do not plan on stopping production. Rumors have been escalating that film development was halted after director Hayao Miyazaki announced his retirement last September. But a Ghibli Studio spokesman said in Tokyo that Ghibli does not plan to stop producing animated films, but needs to reconsider the course of its future. Previously, the studio admitted that the departure of its most recognizable filmmaker caused them to rethink the future.
