2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics Torchbearers List Announced The final list of torchbearers for the physical relay of this year's Nanjing Youth Olympic Games has been announced. Chinese badminton superstar Lin Dan and 2008 Beijing Olympic Fencing Champion Zhong Man are among the torchbearers. Also on the list are famed Chinese director Chen Weiya and composer of the Nanjing 2014 anthem Bian Liunian. A total of 104 torchbearers will run the 100-leg torch relay along two routes. The first route of the relay was originally set to start yesterday. But it has been rescheduled to make way for the mourning for the victims of the earthquake that hit southwest China's Yunnan province. The second route of the torch relay will begin on Friday. MLS All-Stars Edge Bayern Munich 2-1 in Friendly In football news, The MLS All-Stars have rallied to beat Germany's Bayern Munich 2-1 in a friendly match in Oregon, Portland. Bayern's new signing Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for the Bavarian club after seven minutes. The MLS's top scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips tied the score early in the second half. Landon Donovan shot another goal in the 70th minute to help MLS All-Stars seal the victory. The event ended a pre-season U.S. tour for Bayern Munich. Benzema Signs Real Madrid Extension In European football news, French striker Karim Benzema has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid that runs until 2019. Benzema's existing deal had been due to expire in the summer of next year. He joined Real Madrid from Lyon in 2009. Benzema has helped the Spanish club win both the Champions League and Copa del Rey last term. Spurs Sign Forward JaMychal Green In off-season NBA news, The San Antonio Spurs have signed forward JaMychal Green. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Green spent the 2012-13 season with the Austin Toros in the NBA Development League. He has also played in the French Pro A League last season. Michael Phelps Next-to-Last in 100 Freestyle at U.S. Nationals In swimming, Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps has suffered the first big setback of his comeback, as he finished next-to-last in the the 100-meter freestyle final at the U.S. national championships. He was last at the turn and straggled home in 49.17 seconds. "I felt really good after the morning swim - besides the first 50. I felt good in the warm up pool getting ready for tonight. It just kind of stinks I missed that first wall. But it is a part of racing and there is going to be another chance to swim that race." Nathan Adrian led all the way to win in 48.31 seconds while Ryan Lochte came in second. Phelps came out of retirement this past April after a 20-month absence from competitions. The decorated Olympian has three other events in which to qualify for the Pan Pacific championships later this month in Australia.
