Hosts China bagged 3 golds, 3 silver, 1 bronze and were placed second at the Gymnastics World Championships in Nanning, which concluded yesterday.
But Team USA retained the top position in the medal tally with 4 golds, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
North Korea with only two gold medals, was a surprising third, overtaking Japan on the last day, after North Korean gymnast Ri Se Gwang won the Men's Vaulting event.
World All-Around Champion, Biles Simone from the US, beat China's Bai Yawen in the Women's Balance Beam event, dashing China's hopes of climbing to the top of the medal tally.
14-year old Simone won four Gold medals at the tournament.
The next World Gymnastics Championships will be held in Glasgow, Scotland.
China advances to the quater final in AFC U-19 Championship
China's under-19 football team beat Vietnam today in the qualifying round of the Asia Football Cup held in Myanmar.
The Chinese team managed to score its only goal in the last five minutes, before the match drew to a close with both teams tied.
However, China has managed to retain its top position in Group C and will advance to the quarter finals this Saturday.
In another game in the AFC qualifiers, Japan defeated Korea 2-1.
Iraq will take on North Korea and Qatar will play Oman in the remaining matches in the qualifying stage of the Asia Football Cup.
Argentina arrive in Hong Kong ahead of friendly match.
Following their 2 nil defeat to arch-rivals Brazil in Beijing this weekend, Argentina are now in Hong Kong for a friendly match against the hosts at Old Trafford tomorrow.
The Friendly match is being played as part of the centenary celebrations of the Hong Kong Football Association. The Hong Kong football squad is currently 164th in the FIFA rankings.
Argentina lost this year's South American Super cup title, when they took on Brazil at the Bird's nest stadium in Beijing this Saturday.
Goals either side of half-time from Diego Tardelli were enough to ensure Brazil trumped its great South American rival for the first time since 2012.

NFL: Dallas cowboys beat Seattle 30-23

The Dallas Cowboys showed they are built to last, when they beat the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawksin on their home turf.
The Cowboy's relied on their running back DeMarco Murray, whose 6th straight 100-yard game helped his team to clinch a resounding win. The final score stood at 30-23.
The Cowboys out-hit, out-ran and even bullied the Seahawks, and refused to be intimidated by Seattle's top-defense line.
The Cincinatti Bengals and the Carolina Panthers ended their game in a tie after Cincinnati's Mike Nugent missed a 36-yard field goal just as overtime came to an end.
The 60,000 strong crowd at the Paul Brown Stadium was on its feet and ready to celebrate when Nugent set up for the final kick with 2 seconds left on the clock.
It was a good snap and hold but Nugent rushed his approach and sliced it wide right.
Last night's game between the Bengal and Panthers will go down in NFL history as the game with the third highest score to end–up in a tie.

Toronto Maple Leafs cruised past the New York Rangers last night at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The Leafs broke out of their scoring slumber with five goals in the second period and wrecked the Rangers' home opener with a 6-3 victory on Sunday night.
The last time the Rangers allowed at least five goals in a period was way back in 2009, when they lost to Dallas.
Toronto, who had a slow start in the first two games of this season, fired up, propelled by by Kessel and van Riemsdyk who both notched their first goal and first point of the season.
