Sporting world pays tribute to slain South African Football hero Senzo Meyiwa Senzo Meyiwa was South Africa's star goalkeeper who just last month became the country's captain, at the age of 27. He was a peacemaker in the camp. We all have to come together. Let's pray hard. Let's pray hard." Sport stars all over the world mourned the loss of this bright young star. South African midfielder Dean Furman said his teammates were utterly devastated by the news. Furman stressed that Meyiwa has a young family so there's more to it than losing just a footballer South Africa rugby union or the Springboks tweeted saying "No words can describe the tragic and untimely death of Senzo Meyiwa. A true South African hero taken way to soon!" Meyiwa, played for Orlando Pirates and featured in South Africa's last four Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. South Africa's domestic soccer league has postponed this weekend's derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaiser Chiefs as a mark of respect for Senzo Meyiwa. Zinedine Zidane gets three-month coaching ban Former French football captain Zinedine Zidane has been suspended from coaching after it was revealed that he was coaching Real Madrid's reserve-team without the right qualifications. The Spanish Football Federation banned Zidane on Monday. Real Madrid says that they "absolute disagreed" with this decision and that they would challenge it. The club said that Zidane has been authorized by the French Football Federation to work as the head coach for Real Madrid's reserve-team.
