New stats show Pixar's new 3D animation "Inside Out" has generated around 34 million US dollars through its first day in theatres in North America on Friday.
The solid opening of "Inside Out" has put the film on-track for an estimated 90 million US dollar weekend.
"Inside Out" is an action-comedy about the personified emotions of a young girl who is coping with life after she and her family move to a new city.
It features the voices of comedians Amy Poheler, Bill Hader and Lewis Black, among others.
Inside Out’s premier has managed put a lasso around the neck of "Jurassic World."
However, the film still managed to generate 29 million US dollars on Friday.
Estimates put its weekend performance at around 100 million US dollars.
"Jurassic World," staring Chris Pratt, has already broken a few records, including largest opening weekend and quickest film to surpass the 300-million US dollar benchmark in North America.
