Baidu has said that it has established cooperation with a number of non-governmental organizations on Friday and it now has 23 NGOs looking to work with the company.
On Thursday, 36 non-governmental organizations filed complaints with authorities asking them to look into to Baidu's allegedly false advertising practices.
The healthcare-related NGOs accused the Internet giant of posting false medical-related advertisements.
Baidu said in a statement that all medical institutions that carry out online marketing via their platform need to be equipped with licenses.
The company allegedly sold its online forums to some unqualified medical agencies who posted misleading information on the forums.
On Tuesday, Baidu said it will stop commercial activities on online forums and will invite non-profit organizations to operate them.
