Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has promoted his latest unconventional superhero film 'Deadpool' in Taipei.
Serving as the actor and producer of the film, Reynolds elaborates on the character he portrayed in this new Marvel Comics' origin story.
"Most people have a filtering system that exists inside their brain, that they think something really awful and then there is this little gateway that says, 'No, no, no, non, no, don't say that, don't say that out loud.' With Deadpool you get to completely ignore that and just say whatever you want."
The film centers on a former Special Forces operative, Wade Wilson, who is endowed with miraculous healing powers after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Then he becomes Deadpool - a foul-mouthed superhero with a very twisted sense of humor.
The 39-year-old actor also indicates the film also features several ad-lib lines from him.
I was so happy they used it but it was just a little, you know... Because that's what was happening. We didn't have enough money for any other X-Men, just the two, just the two X-Men."
'Deadpool' premiered in Taiwan on January 21st, and will hit theaters in early February.
