A veiled, expressionless Celine Dion joined by family, friends and fans in honoring the loss of her husband and longtime manager, Rene Angelil.
Angelil died on January 14th, two days before his 74th birthday, after losing a battle against throat cancer.
Dion sat in silence at Montreal basilica where the couple tied the knot 21 years ago.
She did not give any speech at the funeral, but let her eldest son to deliver a touching eulogy.
Countless local celebrities and dignitaries noted Angelil's generosity, former premier Jean Charest, and current premier Philippe Couillard were among the attendees.
Roughly 700 members of the public attended Friday's funeral.
On the previous day, Dion greeted fans and mourners at a public visitation with her oldest son, René-Charles, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.
Celine Dion also lost her elder brother Daniel Dion two days after her husband died.
Daniel's service will take place on Monday.
