Amazon has launched its new electronic book reader "Kindle Oasis."
The 8th generation device is the most expensive e-book reader Amazon has put out, with the price set at 24-hundred yuan here in China.
The price is almost a thousand yuan higher than its previous high-end product, the "Kindle Voyage" launched in 2014.
Kindle Oasis is the thinnest and the lightest product in the Kindle family.
The new device is said to have a battery life of around 8-weeks before you need to plug it in.
China is now the second largest market in the world for Kindle.
