Beijing tightens supervision of gas stations

Beijing's environmental protection authorities are planning to tighten supervision over oil and gas providers to try to reduce pollution.
As part of the Beijing Air Pollution Prevention Regulations that took effect on March 1st, heavier fines will be imposed on violators.
Under the new regulations, fuel has to be added with oil cleaning agents.
Violators will face fines ranging from 10-thousand to 100-thousand yuan.

GAC says the new policies have helped increase monthly freight volumes by nearly 6-percent.
