Long long ago in the lovely thick forest, there lived a clever fox. The clever fox loved to eat. Every morning he went out into the forest and he ate and he ate and he ate. “Mmm…”he said, “I’m full. Now I can go and play. “ And so off he went to play in the forest. When it got dark, clever fox went home again and went to sleep.
One day clever fox went into the forest. He looked and looked and looked. But he couldn’t find anything to eat. “Oh, no!” he said. “I’m so hungry. I want something to eat. What shall I do? Mmm… I must think.” he said, and he thought and thought and thought. Suddenly he heard a noise. Grrr Whoosh… Grrr Whoosh… Grrr Whoosh… “Ah” said clever fox, “What’s that? I’m scared. ” And he hid behind a tree. “ Oh! But my tummy is rumbling” he said. “I mustn’t be scared, said clever fox, “ I’ll go and see what the noise is. “ So he went, carefully and slowly. And when he got to find what the noise was, he peeped out. and he saw a big drum and a branch of a tree was rubbing against it. Grrr Whoosh… Grrr Whoosh… Grrr Whoosh… and beside the drum was lots and lots and lots of food. “ Hooray! “ said clever fox. “ I’m so glad I was brave. I can eat all the food now.” And so he ate and ate and ate. “Mmm… Lots of food. yes!” and he went off to play into the forest.
