"Nanjing! Nanjing!" director Lu Chuan announced he is joining Le Vision Pictures, or LeVP, in Beijing on Thursday.
Lu's upcoming films will be produced by LeVP in the coming years.
Lu attended the 2014 Le Vision Pictures Summit with famous Chinese film director Zhang Yimou who was the first film director to sign a contract with the company. Lu admitted that Zhang's earlier film, "Red Sorghum," had a great influence on his dream of being a film director.
LeVP plans to produce 15 films and generate 3 billion yuan of box offices this year.
