Across the country, cinemagoers who bought tickets to any film at WANDA cinemas were treated to a special opening of Xu Zheng's new film, "The Great Hypnotist."
Many viewers thought the theaters had made a mistake and accidentally played the wrong footage.
But they soon realized it was a prank when Xu Zheng popped up on the screen to wish them a happy April Fool's Day.
"The Great Hypnotist" is scheduled for released on April 29th.
