介绍:
苹果公司买断U2新专辑,并且向所有iTunes用户提供免费下载。据报道苹果因此支付的金额超过了1亿美元。 British band U2's free album on iTunes reportedly cost Apple 100 million dollars. The band 's 13th album, Songs of Innocence, was available without charge to any and all iTunes subscribers, around 500 million people –in celebration of last week's huge Apple event in California. Apple, struck a $100 million deal with the band and its label, Universal, that included an undisclosed fee and a marketing campaign. Bono was open at Tuesday afternoon's event that this kind of thing doesn't happen easily, telling Apple CEO Tim Cook that, "First you would have to pay for it, because we're not going in for the free music around here." The band's manager, Guy Oseary, also didn't deny the amount, saying that"the band worked five years on the album, they poured blood, sweat, tears into the project. The goal was: how do we reach as many as possible?" U2s album "Songs of Innocence" will be available for free on iTunes until Oct. 14.
