Californian relationship psychologist Ramani Durvasula recently produced a paper showing the relationship between arguments between couples and taking a trip to IKEA.
Mr Durvasula said: "The store literally becomes a map of a relationship nightmare."
Walking through the store is likely to provoke arguments about problematic areas, such as who cooks, cleans, or looks after children.
Also, assembling the furniture can be very fiddly and often end in fights?
Do you guys think that a trip to IKEA is a good challenge healthy challenge for a relationship? What challenges can you think of to make a relationship better and what situations should couple try to avoid?
