I'm a bit sad today, as I just read a sad diary online written by an elementary school child.
In his diary, he described how his cellphone-obsessed mother ignored all his efforts to express his love for her on International Women's Day.
The boy is a second grader at a primary school in Taizhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province. In the diary, he said he first told a story to his mother to please her, but she seemed uninterested and kept staring into her cellphone. Not discouraged, the boy then said words of blessings, his mother remained occupied with her handset. The boy massaged her back. The mother played with her cellpone.
The boy washed her feet to show his love for her and finally he got some response, with an added phrase,"you should press harder."
The boy concluded it was his "Heartbroken Women's Day".
