The Donkey 驴
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
一天，农夫的驴掉进了井里。
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
正在农夫想怎么办的时候，这个可怜的驴叫了好几个小时。
Finally he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
最后，农夫断定这只驴已经老了。无论如何，这口井也是要被盖起来的，只是这头驴不值得去救了。
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
他邀请了他所有的邻居来帮他。他们都拿了一把铲子，开始往井里铲土。
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
起初，驴意识到发生了什么事情，开始发出可怕的叫声。
Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down.
然后令大家惊讶的是，这头驴有安静了下来
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well, and was astonished at what he saw.
往井里铲了几铲土之后，农夫终于往井里看了看，他对自己所看到的感到非常惊讶。
With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
每一铲土落到驴背上的时候，驴都会做出一件令人惊讶的事情
He would shake itoff and take a step up.
生活会往你身上铲土，各种各样的土。从井里出来诀窍就是抖掉身上的土，再往上走一步。
Each of our troubles is a stepping stone.
我们遇到的每一个困难都是垫脚石。
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and keep going.
只要不停止，永不放弃，我们就能走出最深的井。甩掉困难，继续前进。
