【小听童中英文绘本故事】帕拉帕拉山的妖怪(上集) The Monster Of Palapala Mountain 帕拉帕拉山的妖怪 Story and illustrations by Lai-Ma 文图 赖马 Heryin Books. 和英童书 Bubba, the white pig, tumble down the mountain and rolled, rolled, rolled, rolled into Sugarplum village. 白猪鲁鲁从山上滚滚滚滚下来。 “Monster” was the only word he could say before passing out. （惊恐无力）“有妖怪.......” 他只说了三个字就昏倒了。 The villagers took him straight away to the hospital. 村民赶紧把他抬到医院。 It took Bubba a while to come to. 过了好久，鲁鲁终于醒过来， Of course, the two bumps on his head hurt terribly, but not enough to distract him from the pain of his broken leg. 头上肿起的两个包还是很痛，摔断的腿可就更痛了。 Everybody came to see him. 大家都来探望他。 The old village head asked Bubba nervously: “ What on earth happened?” 老村长也来了， 他紧张地问鲁鲁，到底发生什么事。 ########################################################################## （惊魂未定） “There was a monster” Bubba replied in a small voice. “有妖怪！” “I was returning from the village on the other side of Palapala mountain. And it was getting dark. So I took the short-cut that go through the forest. 鲁鲁害怕地说：我去长脖子村收钱，发现天快黑了，就从帕拉帕拉山抄近路回来， But I got lost. 没想到却迷路了。 I walk toward what look like a wall of rock wondering what to do next. 我走到一块大岩壁前，正不知道该怎么办， Then I saw a light and heard some noise. 突然看见前面有亮光，还有噼里啪啦的声音， I went closer to take a look. 就走过去想看个清楚。” “Aha…. “哇-----” A monster jumped out at me, 吓死我了！一只妖怪冲过来， （趋于平缓） ############################################################################ it was as taller as 10 people and as darker as coal. 它有十个人那么高，象炭一样黑 It has sharp thorns all over his body. 全身长满尖刺， And eye’s gleaming with green light. 眼睛射出绿光， The long claws pouring the air look like the sharpest fence digging out from his mouth. 舞着利爪（zhao）,露出一嘴大牙。” I ran as fast as I could. But I heard it coming after me. “我拼命跑，它在后面一直追。” Bubba pointed to his torn pants. Look, I almost became the monster’s pork cutlet dinner. “ 鲁鲁指着被钩破的裤子说，“我差一点儿就变成妖怪的猪排大餐了。” [上集 待续]
