The paths to the ideals are usually not so satisfying, and you will suffer from all kinds of hardship in the process of chasing your ideals, Nevertheless, kid, do whatever you can to strive for your ideals, the ending for idealists is solemn and stirring but never pitiful. In this seemingly rough life, you would meet up with many wise men and gentleman, and scenery and miracles which others could not encounter. Although it is well-advised to be commonplace, it is colorless. Do not abandon your ideals because of those tiny benefits, do not alter your faith due to some certain fashion. The appearances of the material world is over complicated, learn to reject those temptation from vanity. Ideals are not something cheap, they usually cannot bring you the worldly joy and pleasure. Therefore, you must learn to live with no appreciation, to understand the spiritual pleasure, and to embrace your difference from others.
Secondly, kid, I hope you are a surefooted person. Life is so short and fast, with so many windy things, and it is likely that you get dizzy of them, and end up with nothing accomplished. If you are a pretty girl, it is too easy of you get much love and care from many boys when you are young, which makes you superficial and impractical. If you are an extremely smart boy, then it is likely that you get frivolous because you think you can achieve so much greatness. Remember dear, everyone's abilities are limited, it is good enough to finish one thing with perfection in life, such as write a nice book and be a elegant housewife. Do not despise ordinary people, do not look for free riding, do not waste your time on things beyond your capabilities. After growing up,you will learn that doing a thing well is too hard but do not ever give up easily;
You shall comprehend and cherish the relations, no matter it is love or friendship, no matter it is a man or a woman, no matter it is inside the walls or outside the walls, as it is truly hard to meet up in this big world. It is inevitable that there are misunderstandings and conflicts during the relation, but please stop and think, how many people could take the same train with us in this giant and long life journey? You shall understand friends will eventually leave you alone, and learn to be grateful that someone is there listening to you and confessing to you. Love and understand yourself and others. Your heart shall as soft as the water and your expressions in your eyes shall be as bright and brilliant as spring. You shall learn to shed tears, and enjoy sentimental music all by yourself in the darkness. You shall understand to appreciate tragedies, which enrich your soul.
Dear, I hope you are not vulgar. And you are independent, nobody could take that from you, unless you succumb to the world. Learn to see through the genuineness, and find it out from dozens of masks. There are many of the type as pliable and standard people, but very few of the type as outstanding and extraordinary people, however, greatness usually lie beneath the sorrow and lowliness. In terms of formalism, maybe we cannot fight against the fixed world, but we are our own kings in the deep bottom of our hearts. I will leave you alone with shame if I see you wear a flattering smile on the face. Many things are shining but valueless, so do not measure yourself with the common scales, otherwise you will lose yourself and be a rumor spreader.
Speaking of the specific norms of manners as a human, I hope you do not interrupt others' conversations, do not be overly proud. You shall spend at least two hours reading and write letters back to your friends. Do not always bear in mind that what others should do for you, but think about what you can do for them. Remember to return the things you borrow from others, do not take others' goodness for granted. Kid, one more deed, though very hard to do, but rather important, that is to embrace your shortcomings.
