A Grammy Award, or Grammy, is an award presented by The Recording Academy to recognize achievement in the mainly English-language music industry. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest. The first Grammy Awards ceremony was held on May 4, 1959. The 60th Annual Grammy Awards, honoring the best achievements from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017 were held on January 28, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
