With hours to go for this year's Emmy Awards ceremony, festivities have already begun.
Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik explains how she eases her anxiety.

"I usually have Thai food before I go to the Emmys. There's a vegan place called Vegan Plate that I order in from. So, Thai iced tea. I usually don't usually do caffeine. But that kind of gets me through. So, that's the sort of the only ritual I have. I usually put on mopey emotional music, just because it lets me feel something, so I'm not numb with all my anxiety."

The Emmy veteran has three nominations, but no wins, for her portrayal of neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler on the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory."
"Episodes" nominee Matt LeBlanc is echoing the view of Bialik, saying he will make Emmy day just like any other day.

"You try, at least, from my point of view, you try to have it be like any other day, because it's, you know, when you're sitting there and your category comes up, that's when you start to sweat and it gets really uncomfortable. So, you try to put it off until the very last minute. That's what I try to do: not think about it."
When asked about Emmy-day rituals, nominee Jim Carter, best known as butler Mr. Carson on "Downton Abbey," replies playfully.

"I always check that my fly is up. I think that is essential. I wash thoroughly. And I stand upright. And that's about as close as I can get to a routine, I'm afraid."
"Orange" nominee Kate Mulgrew says she believes the Emmy is already hers.

"I'm very, very, very happy that I am playing this marvelous role. So, you see, the prize is already mine. And I know that very well."
But that's not the attitude of "Fargo" nominee Billy Bob Thornton.

"You know how people say, 'Well, I've been nominated. I feel like I'm already a winner.' I look at it a different way. I look it like I'm already a loser. And it's much easier. (Laughs.) You know what I mean."
The Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is set for Monday evening local time in downtown Los Angeles.
