介绍:
Long fangs and the deathly pallor of his skin, Count Dracula is one of the most influential fictional characters in horror fictions. This dark and mysterious vampire has spawned numerous theatrical and television interpretations. Now, a new film adaption is going to bring the thriller back. Let's follow Zeng Liang to take an early look. Reporter: Best known for his portrayal of Bard the Bowman from "The Hobbit" trilogy, British actor Luke Evans takes on one of his most challenging roles yet. In his new movie "Dracula Untold", the 35-year-old actor stars as the infamous Romanian prince Vlad the Impaler, who is the prototype of our bloodthirsty vampire. The dark fantasy movie explains the beginning of Dracula in the early 15th century and how he uses dark power to protect his family and kingdom. According to Evans, this new film adaption is inspired more by the historical story, instead of the fantastical incarnations of the character we've become accustomed to. "We wanted to keep it raw and visceral and we were telling the origin story, so we had the freedom and the license to tell the story how we wanted to tell it and tell the story about the man behind this literary, legendary vampire. We wanted him to be rough and ready and dark and not so cliché." In order to convincingly portray Dracula, Evans spent months beefing up in the gym and mastering the art of sword fighting. "It was train all the time and eat very little apart from chicken, beef and fish and green vegetables and train every day after work and rehearse with the stunt guys, it was full on." Evans says during the shooting, he had to wear some notable accessories, such as Dracula's famous fangs. But absent was an Eastern European accent since director Gary Shore wasn't too keen on having Evans and the rest of the cast attempt to carry on dialogue in an unfamiliar accent. "It was a decision we made very early on, that it was not going to be part of this story. We didn't see it was necessary to do that accent, and sometimes it can be very distracting as well. And then you have lots non Transylvanian actors trying to do Transylvanian accents and that could be very distracting so we thought we'd get rid of that straight away." "Dracula Untold" also stars Dominic Cooper as the evil Sultan, Sarah Gadon as Vlad's wife and Charles Dance as the demon who turns Vlad into a vampire. The action horror film is out in the U.K. on October 3rd.
