介绍:
The exhibition at the Today Art and Fashion Awards shows how imaginative artwork contributed by artists and designers could be well integrated for re-creation. An interesting part of the exhibition is a portrait project jointly created by artists and film stars from different background. Beijing-born model and film actress, Monica Mok, has her portrait in the exhibit, which is titled "Three Hours." "The platform transcends the existing boundaries. I saw my portrait in 'Three Hours' today for the first time since it was completed by Guan Yong. It's a pleasant surprise to me." The portrait "Three Hours" is mainly composed of a series of photos that Guan Yong had taken to record how to get Monica Mok on-camera ready within three hours to appear on film or television. Though Guan Yong generally uses oil painting for his art, instead of photography, Mok said the shooting process was very fun and felt the artist captured a side to her not commonly seen elsewhere. Chinese-Canadian actor Shawn Dou, who rose to fame for his role in director Zhang Yimou's 2010 film, "The Love of the Hawthorn Tree," joined Mok to attend the exhibition. But when asked about his artistic tastes, Dou was more interested in talking about his appearance in the upcoming movie, "The Queens," which comes out on Friday in China. Dou plays alongside actress Song Hye-kyo. "In the movie, I play a hunter who is very aggressive towards females. I feel excited about this chance of cooperation with Song Hye-kyo." The portrait project exhibits the work of 20 artists and nearly 30 pop stars from China. Many other pieces of artwork from a variety of artists make up the work in the exhibition. The exhibition, which explores immense diversity from re-creation based on an integration of resources, will run until November 14th. For Studio Plus, I'm Shen Ting.
