Shannon Lee, daughter of the late Kung Fu master Bruce Lee, is launching instant energy drinks in her father's name.
Bruce Lee Instant Drinks comprise of four categories including Coffee, Milk Tea, Honey Lemon and Chocolate.
Some of the drinks also claim to have health benefits by incorporating Chinese herbs such as licorice, wolfberry and ginseng.
Lee's image and his famous quotes are plastered across the product pamphlets and the product itself.
At a press conference to launch the drinks in Hong Kong, Shannon Lee said her father loved drinking milk tea and also liked adding Chinese herbs to his tea.
The 45-year-old former actress decided to launch the products because she believes that they're in line with her father's philosophy.
"I'm always looking for different avenues to express my father's message, his philosophy and his lifestyle of health and fitness and all that, so it took a little discussion about, 'How does this reflect that? Actually, we found that there were a lot of synergies in the sense that it's a great vehicle for us to convey my father's philosophy and that their approach to this was a very high quality approach and that they wanted to include some health benefits to the beverages. That really distinguished this line and this collaboration in my mind, so that was really the reason that we decided to move forward."
Bruce Lee is an iconic martial artist, actor, and philosopher who rose to super stardom in the 1970s.
His films, "Enter the Dragon," "Way of the Dragon" and "Fist of Fury" remain cult classics and favorites of Kung Fu fans.
The world was shocked and saddened by Lee's untimely death in 1973 from a fatal reaction to prescription painkillers.
But his legacy lives on - he is often credited with influencing the next generation of action stars including Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Donnie Yen.
His daughter Shannon now serves as the president of The Bruce Lee Foundation.
She's not sure how fans will react to the instant drinks but insists that she works hard to preserve and protect her father's legacy.
"It is definitely difficult sometimes to make the decisions that I need to make about how to express the legacy and what makes sense and what is meaningful. There are always a lot of factors to consider and so in each instance I weigh the opportunities very personally and take a lot of time in coming to the decisions that I make and I do the best that I can do and honestly, my belief is that my father would be OK with that."
The Bruce Lee Instant Drinks will be sold in supermarkets and other retailers in Hong Kong. The company also hopes to bring the drinks to China and South East Asia.
