Top star of Hollywood, humanitarian, writer and mother of six, Angelia Jolie is no doubt a multi-talented woman. In recent years, this award-winning actress has set her mind to do something behind the camera: this time trying her hand at directing.
Her second directorial venture, Unbroken, is ready to hit the silver screen. Does her on-camera skill translate into success as a director?
Let's follow Wang Ling to seek out the answer.

Angelina Jolie might be one of the most accomplished women on the planet, but she still has her moments of doubt.
At the London premiere of her second directorial effort, drama "Unbroken", the Oscar winner revealed that up until recently, the thought of directing hadn't crossed her mind.
"I'd written something and it was sensitive material about the war in Yugoslavia and I just didn't want to hand it over. I was nervous that somebody else, another director might be less sensitive about the material and so I volunteered myself but I didn't think I'd love it. I didn't think I'd be any good at it really. I just really wanted to do my best and I would never ever have imagined that I would be in a position to do a film like this, of this scale, what I feel is such an important film.,"
After helming her first film based on the screenplay "In the Land of Milk and Honey" in 2011, Jolie's second attempt at directing is a war drama which revolves around the life of American Olympic runner and World War II hero, Louis Zamperini.
Zamperini, who passed away earlier this year aged 97, attended the 5000-meter race at the 1936 Olympics before enlisting in the United States Army Air Forces during WWII and subsequently being captured by the Japanese Navy.
After living in numerous prisoner-of-war camps for more than two and half years, the athlete returned home to a hero's welcome. He made it his life's work to speak about his experiences in terms of the human spirit overcoming all odds and was reportedly trying to get a movie deal for decades.
Talking about the challenges during the shooting, Jolie described the whole process as a "deep, wonderful experience".
"We got to meet this extraordinary man and we all became dear friends with him and he guided us through every moment of the film. Where we wouldn't be sure about a scene or a raft or a moment or a character and he had such an extraordinary memory and he helped us when we felt overwhelmed he told us, he gave us the inspiration to do it."
Staring British actor Jack O'Connell, Japanese rock star Miyavi and Tony Award nominator Domhnall Gleeson, the film "Unbroken" will be released in the UK on Boxing Day this year, while the US release will be on 25 December.
