Meryl Streep may have been nominated for dozens of awards over the years, but she said she finds it exciting every time. She was speaking at the London premiere of her musical "Into the Woods" when discussing her nomination for this Sunday's Golden Globes.

"It feels very special. I have to pinch myself that this is my life."
On the other hand, the 65-year-old actress said there are enough bad things happening around the world to remind her that it's not all dinners, galas and recognition.
Streep referred to the shooting at the Paris offices of satire magazine Charlie Hebdo in an apparent terrorist attack earlier on Wednesday.
She called it "terrible" and "overwhelmingly sad," adding that "the antidote for that is to live joyously, tolerantly and with attention."
Co-star Emily Blunt also decried the situation.

"I think it's just tough cause you just, the world where you have to be so careful about what you say, it's scary."
On a merrier note, Blunt, who is also nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as the baker's wife in the musical, said she expects the awards ceremony to be fun.

"Excited. It's nice. I mean it's always fun the Golden Globes because I think it's a bit - probably because everyone's trashed on table wine."
"Into the Woods" was adapted from composer Stephen Sondheim's musical, which has had two Broadway runs and two West End runs since 1987.
The film, which meshes together a number of classic fairy tales, features an all-star cast, including Streep as The Witch, Johnny Depp as The Wolf, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella and Chris Pine as Prince Charming.
"Into the Woods" is out in U.S. cinemas and it's released in UK theaters starting from January 9.
