-The restaurant is in a vicious cycle after a rat was spotted, and fewer customers came, which lead to passerbys seeing empty tables
-The farms were in a vicious cycle, after the drought caused intensified land use, and not enough crop rotation.
Definition: refer to complex chains of events which reinforce themselves through a feedback loop.[1] A virtuous circle has favorable results, while a vicious circle has detrimental results.
