The stars of "Terminator Genisys" were out in full force, since John Connor, leader of the human resistance, fights against the machines in 2029.
In this fifth installment of the Terminator franchise, Connor sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect his mother and safeguard the future. But an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline, Reese has to face dangerous new enemies and unlikely allies.
Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his iconic role as the cybernetic organism for the film. He talked about pranking fans when he pretended to be a waxwork Terminator in Los Angeles recently.
"We raised millions of dollars, doing those kind of things, so I like to prank some people anyway, we raised millions of dollars for after school programs for children so this is a very important charity for me and this is why I am very happy about it, the success that so many people have watched it."
Jason Clarke plays John Connor, the son of Sarah Connor.
"You know, it hurts, long hours, big shoot, massive stunt consequences, a lot of pressure. John Connor is a great character, he is the heart and soul of what's going on here. This man and machine, and we create the machine and the machine will destroy us."
Director Alan Taylor, who is famous for his work "Thor: the Dark World" , admitted the whole experience feels surreal.
"Nothing is more surreal, than the moment when you take the work out and you have been working in private for the long time and you release that this is all going around, that's the moment when you can pinch yourself. I think the first night was on set with Arnold, when he came out and he was doing his thing, I had to pinch myself a little bit".
"Terminator Genisys" premieres in North American theaters on July 1st.
