A 33-year-old American man set a world record Tuesday by devouring 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes at an annual hot dog eating contest in New York in east U.S.
Joey Chestnut won the 101st Nathan&`&s Annual Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, which attracts the world&`&s hungriest competitive eaters at New York&`&s Coney Island on Tuesday.
This was Chestnut&`&s 10th victory in the event. Chestnut wolfed down 70 franks and buns in 10 minutes last year.
Carmen Cincotti finished the competition in second place with 68 hot dogs, while Matt Stonie placed third with 48.
In the women&`&s competition, 20-year-old Miki Sudo won her fourth-consecutive title by downing 41 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
