Death is inevitable. It’s a promise made to each of us at birth. But before that promise is kept, we all hope something will happen to us, whether it is the thrill of romance, the joy of raising a family, or the anguish of great loss. We all hope to experience something that make our lives meaningful, but the sad fact is, not all lives have meaning. Some people spend their time on this planet just sitting on the sidelines, waiting for something to happen to them, before it’s too late. 死亡是不可避免的。每个人在生下来之后都会得到的保证。但在那个保证履行之前我们都希望能遇到某些事，可能是一段激动人心的罗曼史，可能是生儿育女的喜悦，可能是巨大损失的痛苦。我们都希望经历让生命有意义的事情，但令人难过的是并非所有的生命都有意义。有些人一生只是站在远处等待那些事从天而降，结果蹉跎光阴。
