问题：Do you think a university degree would guarantee one’s success in career?
Not necessarily. I think a university degree isn’t the only factor that contribute to one’s success, and there are many other things that also come into play, like the industry you pick and the opportunities you come across. But that is not to say a university degree is completely useless, because going through a university education can stretch a person’s ability in almost every way. You gain specialized knowledge in a specific field, you learn to work with others as well as solve problems on your own. So a university graduate would just beat a high school dropout in almost any situation. And that’s why although a degree doesn’t guarantee anything, it’s still not a good idea to just ditch your college education and start working early.
