Russia economy to revive in 2 Yrs: Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken part in his annual year-end news conference, arguing Russia is not in an economic crisis.
The Russian leader has gone on-record saying he believes the Russian economy will revived in 2-years.
The comments come as Russia copes the dramatic decline in the value of the Russian ruble, which has lost around 60-percent of its value this year.
In making the statement, Putin is cautioning that external factors may continue to see the ruble decline in value for the next couple of years.
Putin says his government is planning further measures, including spending cuts, to stabilize the country's economy.
Putin also notes Russia has a large reserve of foreign currency, which he says should help Russia put its economy back on track.
Poll shows Putin's approval rate at 80%
A new opinion poll has found four in five in Russia still support President Vladimir Putin, despite the massive decline in the value of the ruble this year.
The poll was conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research between November 22nd and December 7th when the ruble was in the height of its free-fall.
Putin is in his 2nd term as President after holding the role from 2000 to 2008.

Yunnan court hands out landmark anti-trust ruling against Sinopec
A court in Yunnan has determined state-owned oil giant Sinopec has breached the country's anti-trust law by refusing fuel supplies from a private plant.
The court has ordered Sinopec to include biofuels produced by locally-based YingDing Fuel into its sales.
YingDing Fuel sued Sinopec earlier this year after the Chinese oil giant's Yunnan facility refused supplies of the company's diesel made from gutter oil.
Under Chinese law, private oil refineries are not allowed to have a distribution license.
However, private fuel makers are allowed to sell their products to the 'big-3,' so long as their products meet quality standards.
