Love Yourself 爱自己 If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would you say? And I think the advice that I most needed when I was growing up and to this very day, would have to be: Just be yourself, and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. I spent and wasted so much time trying to fit in with people that were nothing like me, listening the same music that they listened to, wearing same clothes that they did, hanging out with people but I just didn’t really like that much. But I wanted them to like me. And I wanted to be more like them. Hum… and it was just silly, because I’m really cool the way that I am. And there is no reason to change yourself for someone else. And it’s silly to compare who you are to other people, because everyone is different, and that’s what makes everyone so awesome. 【参考译文】 如果你能回到过去，给自己点儿建议，你会说什么呢？我认为我在成长过程中乃至到现在，最需要的建议应该是：做你自己，不要拿自己和其他任何人相比。我花了很多时间，也浪费了很多时间在努力迎合和我完全不同的人；听他们听的音乐，穿一些和他们类似的衣服；和一些我并不是很喜欢的人出去玩儿。但我希望他们喜欢我，而且我希望我能够更像他们。嗯，就是这么傻，但因为我本来就真的很酷，没有理由为了其他人改变自己；拿自己去和其他人比较是很傻的，因为每个人都不一样，而且正是这种不同让每个人都精彩。
