The crew’s mood began to brighten. What was at stake? Was Captain Button trying to demobilize his pirate gang? Was this related to his poor health condition that the crew had started to become aware lately? Whatever it was, the crew became willing to follow their captain.
The ship anchored near the shore. The crew loaded canoes with the amazing amount of gold, diamonds, pearls and jades and started to move them to the cave. Carrying a lighted torch, the crew became alarmed when they saw skulls on the ground and came to realize there were threats inside the cave. But they were already too deep inside the cave.
The cave monster attacked the crew. The torch couldn’t stay alight, which was extinguished by streams of liquid foam spit out of the monster’s mouth. The screamed and tried to fight back, but the darkness of the cave prevented them seeing the monster. They were also not capable of escaping because Captain Button blocked the cave entrance with huge rocks. None of the crew members survived. They were all murdered by their captain.
According to the deal, the captain wouldn’t kill the monster, but the latter was required to protect the captain’s treasures until one day he would eventually be reborn and come back to reclaim his belongings. To reward the monster, the captain would offer his crew as sacrifice to the monster.
Inside the dark gloomy cave, hiding behind a heap of bones was a pirate’s cat. Her name was Coco. The white cat followed her master into the cave, where she saw the horrible massacre. It was a nightmare experience.
“Take me…”
Coco heard a whisper coming from inside a file of ashes, bones and fabric fragments next to her. There was also a very old, locked briefcase lying there. She scraped the textile fragments away, it was a scroll of black paper.
